A Paean to Modernism

A young man by the name of Alex Roman took some time off to compose the film below. It is almost entirely done in CGI, with the exception of the flowers blooming, the person operating the camera, and the jet flying over head. The rest of the film is computer generated imagery, and, if you love modernism, it is incredibly lush imagery: time-lapse photography of wind and light caressing the interiors and exteriors of buildings in astonishing ways. It’s worth watching — full screen as the maker requests — at least through the halfway mark. Until that moment, it all seems rather straightforward. Then it begins to turns things a bit … about a quarter turn every few minites:
