Nice discussion about [what it feels like to be a smart person on Quora][quora]. I would like to add just one thing to the list for my smart students: while you may be smarter than the rest of a group individually, you are almost never smarter than the rest of the group collectively. (I.e., there really is something to *crowd sourcing*.)
UPDATE: To add to this idea in a slightly different direction: it looks like the [popular kids in school make more money][slate] in life.
The net takeaway is that being able to negotiate social relationships is really, *really* important.
